Senior Engineer

Location: Stafford, VA

Job Summary:
Kalman & Company is seeking to hire a Senir Engineer to provide program management services in support of Program Manager Motor Transport efforts. This position is contingent upon contract award and would support DoD clients in Stafford/Quantico, VA.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Review vendor CDRL submissions that are engineering or technical and advise the customer
  • Review and/or develop Technical Data Packages, including drawings and CAD models of PM MT platforms
  • Develop Engineering Change Proposals, Requests for Variance, Requests for Deviation, etc. in support of safety updates to PM MT systems or updates related to obsolescence / DMSMS
  • Support Technical Interchange meetings
  • Conduct market research on technical items
  • Conduct supportability assessments for interaction with other Program Management Office’s equipment utilized with PM MT platforms
  • Plan, assess, and develop reporting on testing conducted on PM MT platforms
  • Develop SETR products in support of MS events and engineering reviews
  • Advise customer on tailored documentation requirements for MS events and engineering reviews based on MAG guidance and MCSC best practices
  • Familiarity with VIPER and statutory requirements, MIL-STDs, etc.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Possess an Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (ideally mechanical, aeronautical, or electrical), or a related technical discipline; Master’s Degree a plus
  • 5-10 years of relevant experience required, 10+ years desired
  • US Citizenship is required
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or ability obtain a Secret Security Clearance
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate information both verbally and in writing
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills: ability to work with a wide audience
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage tasks/prioritize work to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with MBSE and related tools
  • Familiarity with CAD desired

Preferred:

• PMP certification a plus
